7:30 am - Bryn Story and Nanowrimo

ekuboryu
Hey guys, I am not posting anything, Just letting everyone know I editted the heck out of that last piece and I have written about 5 new pages of Bryn in the right time line, and a death scene that needs a lot of work (though I have already editted the heck out of that too) and a sword practice scene in need of some help too. I'm not going to post any of it now, because I know Cynthia isn't caught up and Jen and Anne don't really have the time to read it just now, but I would like people to read it, when they are caught up and have the time and energy so please IM me or e-mail me and let me know, okay?

The womens land is about to go to war! I need some writerly support! On the other hand, with the speed at which real life is moving for everyone I understand it might not be a good time for it. I think maybe I should write all I can before November, and then put it aside for all of Nano and come back to it for a fresh look.

Which brings me to my other subject, Nanowrimo. Anyone else want to try this year? I was thinking the answer would be no, but I am thinking that it might be a good thing for me to do, so if anyone else has a vauge inkling they might want to, IM me and I'll try to talk you into it. *grin*

3:24 am - old writing

ekuboryu
I found this in my old writing folder. Half of me wanted to delete it, but the other half...I don't know.

It really lays something bare. When I wrote this as a freshman I was sure, through and through the main character wasn't based on me. It's bad. I know it's bad, and I don't think I have the emotional fortitude to work through it ever. I mean, seriously, for what? so I have a well worked piece of angst?

but... I don't know. I had such a strong emotional reaction, I thought I would share anyway.

It's a little triumphant to think on it.  Thank God I am no longer the person who this was based on.

2:38 pm - still in need of a title

ostrich327
Jen wants me to write something everyday. I'm not sure if I'll keep up with the habit, but I did write a (short) something today about a moment from Beth's new Vampire game last night.

Shannon Character Moment-No title. Warning: Blood. (But then, it's from a Vampire game, so what did you expect?Collapse )

7:12 pm - More of Part 4

ekuboryu
More of part four, written at the beach.  Maybe I should number the paragraphs, like in pasages for standardized tests at school for easy commenting...

2:02 am - Genesis Excerpt

enseetaratro
A preface to this: It's in the middle of chapter 3, The date in story is March 5th, 2002 and this particular chapter setting is in Morissiana, the SW Bronx (all info that you get before this point in story). This portion is just after our poor reluctant hero, Daniel Cross, has tumbled out of a bar and headlong into an alley. He doesn't remember quite how many drinks he had... 5? 9 maybe? He can't be sure.

Excepted from:

3. Weighed in the Balance and Found Wanting

“And this was the writing that was inscribed: Mene mene tekel uparsin. This is the interpretation of the matter: Mene, God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end; Tekel, you have been weighed on the scales and found wanting; Uparsin, your kingdom has been divided and given to the Meads and the Persians.” – Dan. 5:25-28

9:43 am - Kristina's Character Intro

ostrich327
This a piece I wrote for a mage game Beth ran, when I played Kristina. Instead of a normal character background (which I did eventually write), I thought this would give Beth more...insight...into what Kristina's like. I actually wound up really liking this piece, though, which is why I'm sharing it. Upon further reflection, I've decided to add the warning that Kristina constantly swears.

8:17 pm - An Ancient(ish) Poem

kelkelen
Allow me to preface this entry:

It's a poem I wrote a long time ago. No, I mean a LONG time ago. Middle school, maybe, or freshman year of high school. But I was musing on Jen's character Matt today, and suddenly it popped back into my head, on account of the Matt-ly thoughts... So I thought I'd share. Feedback is fine, but it's not really a work in progress, seeing as it's so old and all. Oh, and I'm not sure I remember the actual title. I *think* I do.

I don't remember what originally inspired this.Collapse )

Ok. in the way of explaination, This is Mark fiction, it takes place the night Mark became a vampire hunter, before he knows about the pesky beasts.  He's just come home to find all of his roomates dead and...well. yeah.  And if you were wondering why he isn't in jail, Tara wrote it up so that Faith (who is not mine) has major stings she can pull.  Go Faith?

Anyway, Jen said to post something. this is something?

I put it in orange so you can tell where it starts better

11:15 pm - Interview with a Demon

enseetaratro
Everyone's favorite nightclub-owning demon in his own little vingette. Warning: It doesn't at all reflect my views on religion or... hell it doesn't reflect my views on anything. It's Leo. He's an ass.

12:22 pm - Art!

enseetaratro
So Anne finished the little headshots for my cast and they came out super wonderful! I wanted to share them with you.

The others are found here on my photobucket account. The picture of Matt without his hat on is hands down my favorite. Anne did a brilliant job capturing all of their facial expressions and postures. I'm incredibly impressed!

PS- My icon is definitely Animetastic Vincent with eyes that are 60% of his face. He looks like he just saw Cthulhu or something.

This is posted as I have no desire to be killed in the face with a backhoe, but it atypical of my general writing 'cause I'm not a form poet.

  • Please limit open posts to 500 words or less. Posts over 500 words should go behind a cut (ie: book chapters, short stories, etc).
  • Art should be resized so as not to skew the formatting. This can be done by clicking 'rich text format' and then clicking the landscape icon on the toolbar next to the text size box. You can resize the image. If it is too big to resize, please link to a photobucket account.
Thanks!
